Michael is the Associate Attorney at Fierro & Kori. Originally hailing from Maryland, Michael comes to Fierro & Kori after graduating from George Washington University School of Law, where he was a recipient of the GW Law Merit Scholarship. While in law school, he was a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Claude M. Hilton, a federal judge in the Eastern District of Virginia, working on both civil and criminal matters. He also worked in the Public Defender's Office for both Fairfax County and the Eastern District of Virginia. He also served in the Family Law Self-Help Center for the DC Superior Court. His existing knowledge and experience with criminal defense and family law have been an asset to this team as he works on multiple types of cases, including divorce, custody, estate planning, and criminal charges. He is passionate about public service and assisting a diverse clientele in Northern Virginia.
Prior to law school, he worked in youth development in Ilwaco, Washington while serving in the AmeriCORPs. He graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2016. He lives with his partner in Arlington, Virginia, spends time with his large family throughout the metro region and is passionate about Metro-area sports, including the Washington Football Team, the Wizards, and the Nationals.
